Scouting in the Community

Summer is a great time for Packs, Troops and Crews to be out an visible in the community! All across Northern Star, Scouting is showing off!

In Woodbury, units are coming together to provide a fun activity for area families. Throughout the summer, the city hosts "Starlight Cinema" movie nights in a local park.   Packs 9601, 9060 and 9056 have been working together to share the opportunity to get in front of new families with mobile archery and Scouting activities.    Each pack then has a follow-up event to invite these prospective families to. Both Packs 9601 and 9056 have fishing activities planned for June and Pack 9060 has a rocket launch activity in July.

These Packs, and others in the Woodbury community, are embracing the opportunity to work together by collaborating on multi-unit community events while also ensuring they each have fun activities shortly after for families to come meet their Scouts and leaders of the Pack.

If your community has opportunities to share the excitement of Scouting, and  you'd like idea or resources - connect with your DE, your District membership chair or email [email protected]
